Hong Kong SAR Travel Pass

The Hong Kong Immigration Department has introduced a Hong Kong SAR Travel Pass Scheme in January 1998 to enhance the mobility and travel convenience of business travelers who have genuine needs to travel to Hong Kong frequently.

The Travel Pass is a machine-readable document with 32 pages and the prescribed fee is HK$500. It is valid for 3 years and good for multiple entries to Hong Kong for a stay of 2 months on visitor condition each trip. Holders of the Travel Pass can enjoy speedier immigration clearance as they are allowed to use the 'Hong Kong Residents' counters when they enter and exit Hong Kong.

Applications for Travel Pass is open to businesspeople who need to travel to Hong Kong frequently or who are able to make a substantial contribution to the economy of Hong Kong. They must hold a valid passport eligible to come to Hong Kong without a visa or entry permit for visit; and they have made 3 or more trouble-free trips to Hong Kong (other than return from side trips to the Mainland or Macau) in the 12-month period immediately preceding the application.

The Hong Kong Immigration Department welcomes all frequent business visitors to apply for the Travel Pass. Application forms can be obtained from the Hong Kong Immigration Department, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices/Chinese Diplomatic and Consular Missions in overseas; or downloaded from the website at: http://www.info.gov.hk/immd/pdforms/id888.pdf.

Completed application forms may be submitted by post, in person or through a local reference to the Visitors Section of the Immigration Department (at 6/F, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong).
