HK Wushu Team's Visit Well-received in Edmonton
The 30-member Hong Kong Wushu Delegation today (February 10) continued their third day visit in Edmonton and was met with very warm reception. Comprising medal winners of Asian Games and international Wushu competitions, the team visited the University of Alberta and the Edmonton Chinese Cultural Centre for Wushu demonstrations and experience sharing sessions. As part of the Hong Kong promotion, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada) organized a half-day business seminar this afternoon in conjunction with the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Edmonton, and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce to promote the excellent opportunities available to Canadian businesses under the framework of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement signed between Hong Kong and Mainland China. The seminar was well-attended. The Hong Kong Wushu athletes taught members of the Chinese community in Edmonton the basic skills of Taichi during their visit to the city's Chinese Cultural Centre this (Feb 10) afternoon.
