The Chinese New Year Media Appreciation Dinner jointly organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (HKETO) in Canada on Tuesday (February 27) was attended by more than 110 mainstream media members including travel writers, culinary critics, business journalists, feature writers, radio and TV producers who have been giving full support to Hong Kong.

The annual media appreciation dinner not only gave the HKTB and HKETO a good opportunity to say “thank you” to the media members, but also allowed both organizations to give a brief update on Hong Kong’s latest development in tourism and trade. In addition, sponsored guests who had just returned from Hong Kong, including Member of Parliament Derek Lee and well-known Canadian sommelier/ food and drink critic Zoltan Szabo, also shared with guests their recent “Hong Kong experience” on the city’s efficient mass commute system and unique culinary arts, which they enjoyed most, not to mention Hong Kong as an international financial centre, a well-known gourmet paradise and its great buys.
