As a highlight of the "Hong Kong Week in Manitoba", the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (HKETO) in Canada is holding "The Heritage of Hong Kong" display at the Millennium Library of the City of Winnipeg. An opening ceremony was held today (Tuesday). A television documentary, entitled �The Hong Kong Connection � Canada and the New China� was also shown to the guests there.

Jointly presented by the HKETO in Canada, the Chinese Cultural & Community Centre (CCC) of Winnipeg, and the Winnipeg Public Library and Winnipeg Library Foundation, the �The Heritage of Hong Kong� display aims to enable Canadians to appreciate Hong Kong�s rich history and unique heritage that verifies Hong Kong as a place of rich and respectable culture.

The display showcases 6,000 years� of Hong Kong heritage � from archaeological sites containing pottery and stone implements of Neolithic Period, to the splendid traditional buildings of Chinese and Western styles of more recent times. It will be on display at the Millennium Library until June 19.
