e-Channel Eases Travel
e-Channel Eases TravelSelf-service immigration clearance (“e-Channels”) at Hong Kong International Airport is easing the arrival process for frequent travellers to Hong Kong.

Six “e-Channels” are available to visitors who are aged 18 and above and who hold a valid HKSAR Business Travel Card with the economy code “HKG” or Hong Kong International Airport Frequent Visitor Card, and who have successfully enrolled with the Immigration Department of the HKSAR.

Enrolment is free and may be carried out in the airport’s arrival hall. After enrolling, the visitor simply places his travel document into a special reader, enters the e-Channel for fingerprint verification and, once the less than 15-second self-service immigration clearance is done, the visitor receives a label outlining the conditions of stay. Please visit www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/media/internet_apc.wmv to view the workflow of self-service immigration clearance.
