Hong
Kong and Canada both celebrated resounding success in the 2008
Olympic games. Canada’s Eric Lamaze won the country’s first
individual jumping gold in a tense jump-off with Rolf-Goran
Bengtsson of Sweden, and Hong Kong’s impeccable hosting of the
Olympic Equestrian Events won unanimous praise from Olympic
officials and competitors.
During the 12-day Games, Hong Kong welcomed more than 3,000
athletes, technical and team officials and other members of the
Olympic Family, along with more than 30 international dignitaries
and approximately 650 members of the media. |
