Press freedom and modern telecommunications make Hong Kong the media hub of the Asia Pacific region.

This new airport is one of the largest airports in the world and is designed with the 21st century in mind. It has two runways, operating round the clock. The first runway, which is 3.8 kilometres long, is capable of handling the next generation of ultra-large aircrafts. The additional capacity of the second runway facilites the further development of the extensive air services network serving Hong Kong.
