Accident & Emergency charges introduced at public hospitals

With effect from November 29, 2002, the Hospital Authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has introduced fees for Accident and Emergency (A&E) services in public hospitals in Hong Kong.

Under the new fees schedule, Eligible Persons are required to pay HK$100 for each attendance at A&E Department while Non-eligible Persons are required to pay HK$570.

Eligible Persons are holders of Hong Kong Identity Card, their spouses, and their children under 11 years old. 

Others are classified as Non-eligible Persons.
