 The 26th Hong Kong International Film Festival - Snap Shots on its Press Conference
The Press conference of the 26th Hong Kong Internatonal Film Festival (HKIFF) was held on February 28, 2002 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The HKIFF is organised by Hong Kong Arts Development Council and supported by the Hong Kong Art Centre, The Hong Kong Film Archive as well as the HKIFF's ambassadors, Karena Lam and Shaun Tam.

Chairman of Arts Development Council mentioned that the HKIFF is one of the major pro-active projects of Arts Development Council this year. He recommended all film-lovers to seize this valuable opportunity to appreciate over 200 fantastic international films in the Festival.



Peter Tsi, Director and Li Cheuk-to, General Manager of the HKIFF are given the task of creating a new image for Festival. Their goal is to establish an event that has to be culturally entertaining.



This year, the Festival has invited Karena Lam and Shaun Tam, two bright new stars from Ann Hui's "July Rhapsody" as HKIFF's ambassadors. Their youthful and energetic image aptly conveys the HKIFF's goal is to start out afresh this year.
