Major Infrastructure Projects in Hong Kong
As an international financial, trade, transport, logistics and tourist center, Hong Kong has been investing heavily on major infrastructure projects since its reunification with Mainland China on July 1, 1997.

World-renowned major infrastructure projects that were completed in Hong Kong since the Handover included, among others, the new Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok, Tsing Ma Bridge - the world's longest road and rail suspended bridge, and the new extension of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok is among the busiest airports in the world and firmly fosters Hong Kong's position as an aviation hub.

As a conspicuous landmark for Asia's world city since it was open to public traffic in 1997, the stunning 2.2 kilometres Tsing Ma Bridge connects Hong Kongs new international airport to the city center of Hong Kong.

Asia's second largest exhibition and convention facility after Japan, the HK$4.8 billion (C$940 million) Extension project of the HKCEC further strengthens Hong Kong's leading position as Asia's business hub well into the 21st century.

HKETO will stage a large-scale photo exhibition on Hong Kongs major infrastructure projects at the Toronto City Hall from June 24-30. Watch out for more updated information.
