The Hong Kong Film Festival entitled �Gems from Asia�s Hollywood � A Retrospect of John Woo�, one of the �Relaunch Hong Kong� activities organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada) (HKETO) drew to a successful close today (September 19) with the grand prize of the festival�s lucky draw presented to the lucky winner.

Mrs Renae Hnidan of Calgary was chosen the grand prize winner from some 2,400 ticket-holders who participated in the lucky draw.

At the presentation held today in Calgary, Mrs Hnidan was presented with the grand prize - two return flight tickets and 5-night five-star hotel accommodation and a special tour package, thanks to Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong Tourism Board and Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel.

The presentation ceremony was officiated by Cathay Pacific Airways� Area Sales Manager for the Prairies, Ms Lisa Warmenhoven and Fairchild Media Group�s Regional Manager, Ms Christine Leung who represented the HKETO.

�Gems from Asia�s Hollywood � A Retrospect of John Woo� was held in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver in June, July and August.

Congratulating the grand prize winner, the HKETO also expressed its sincere thanks to the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto and the Pacific Cinematheque for co-organising the "Gems from Asia�s Hollywood � A Retrospect of John Woo"; and the Royal Ontario Museum, Alberta Children�s Hospital Foundation, Tour East Holidays and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for their support; and Fairchild Media Group, Ming Pao, Calgary Sun, Sing Tao Daily and Trend Weekly as its media sponsors.

The co-operative efforts of Fairchild Radio FM94.7 in producing the film festival in Calgary and hosting today�s presentation were also gratefully acknowledged.
