With the strong support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada) (HKETO), the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, members of the Junior Team Canada (JTC) Economic Mission 2004 today (August 4) gathered in Ottawa to receive orientation briefings on the latest situations in China and Hong Kong before they depart to Beijing, Hong Kong and southern China.

Comprising of thirty-six of Canada�s best high school and university /college students aged between 16-25, the JTC will depart for China and Hong Kong on August 7 and August 13 respectively to meet with government, business, educational and youth leaders to showcase Canadian products and services abroad and promote cross-cultural understanding. The team will return to Canada on August 22.

Selecting from a group of young leaders chosen from a national competition among over 500 applicants, members of the JTC represent some of Canada�s leading and emerging companies.
