The lucky winner of the Spring Lantern Festival Riddle Quiz organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada) (HKETO) and the Fairchild Media Group as part of the promotional event �Hong Kong and Calgary � Cities of Dynamism� held early this month in Calgary was today (February 25) presented with the grand prize � a return air ticket from Calgary to Hong Kong, courtesy of Tour East Holidays Limited.

On behalf of the HKETO, the Alberta Regional Manager of the Fairchild Media Group, Ms. Christine Leung and the General Manager � Prairies of Tour East Holidays, Mr Paul Fung, jointly presented the air ticket voucher to Ms Polly Fung, who was chosen the grand prize winner of the Spring Lantern Festival Riddle Quiz. Polly is an immigrant from Hong Kong.

Polly beat 2,500 others in the lucky draw which was officiated by the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Shelley Lee, in front of over 4,000 attendees at the Spring Lantern Festival Celebration held on February 5 at Chinook Centre.

The Hong Kong Promotion and the subsequent �Hong Kong-Alberta Wushu Spectacular� performance staged by the Hong Kong Wushu Delegation proved to be a big hit in Calgary. These activities succeeded in arousing greater awareness of Hong Kong�s excellent business opportunities under the �Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement� (CEPA) and a greater interest in Chinese martial arts in the Calgary community.

The �Hong Kong and Calgary � Cities of Dynamism� promotion was supported by the Fairchild Media Group and the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Calgary and sponsored by Treasure of China Seafood House and Tour East Holidays, with Calgary Sun, Sing Tao Daily and Trend Weekly as the media sponsors.
