A video conference to discuss career opportunities in Hong Kong was held in Toronto, Vancouver and Hong Kong in March, for students studying at Canadian universities to connect themselves with human resources and career development experts in Asia’s World City.
Organized by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (HKETO) in Canada, jointly with the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau (CITB), and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, this third annual career conference attracted more than 300 Hong Kong students from universities in southern Ontario and British Columbia to take part. The objective of organizing such a video conference is to encourage more foreign-trained talents to ride the wave of economic development in Hong Kong, and to play a role in the economic integration between the Special Administrative Region and South China.
Held simultaneously in Toronto, Vancouver and Hong Kong, this cross-Pacific video conference provided latest career information and useful advices on the career opportunities available in various sectors in Hong Kong. Four panel speakers from Hong Kong shared their insight and experiences with nine participating universities in the east and west coast.
