Junior Team Canada Visits Hong Kong

Thirty-six of Canada’s best high school, university and college students aged between 16 and 25 have been chosen to form Junior Team Canada (JTC) Economic Mission 2004.

With the strong support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada) (HKETO), the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, members of the JTC visited Hong Kong, Beijing and southern China in August to showcase Canadian products and services abroad and to promote cross-cultural understanding.

The team members were selected from a group of young leaders chosen in a national competition of over 500 applicants. They represent some of Canada’s leading and emerging companies.

The HKETO Director, Mr Bassanio So, gave the delegation a briefing about Hong Kong and bade them “Bon voyage” on August 4.
