International Business Grows

Acting Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Ms Priscilla Law, presents a souvenir to Chief Executive of ILS, Mr Chris Eaton, to welcome the company to Hong Kong.International fiduciary services provider, ILS, has chosen Hong Kong to be its centre of operations in the Far East, joining forces with UK-qualified chartered accountants Debbie Annells and Kenneth Yeung to form the joint venture ILS (Far East) Limited. The Hong Kong office will be able to incorporate companies in more than 40 countries. 

Tremont Group Holdings, Inc., a leading investment manager of fund of hedge fund products and multi-manager portfolios, announces the roll out of its operations in Hong Kong. Tremont Group Holdings, Inc., a leading investment manager of fund of hedge fund products and multi-manager portfolios, has opened Tremont Capital Management (Asia) Limited, the company's first office in Asia and also the company's regional headquarters. Tremont's Hong Kong office intends to deliver fund of hedge fund products and portfolio solutions to an expanding base of local and regional private banks, institutional clients and qualified high net worth investors. 

Woori Global Markets Asia Limited (WGMA), wholly-owned subsidiary of 
Woori Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Korea, announced its 
official launch in Hong Kong, making it a global financial player providing international financial solutions. As the first Korean financial institution to become a global investment platform launched in Hong Kong, WGMA will target all potential clients in Asia with a focus on emerging markets. 

Pointsec Mobile Technologies, a global leader in mobile enterprise security, has established its Greater China headquarters in Hong Kong. The new office will support Pointsec's growing business in the region and spearhead a major push into Greater China. Pointsec offers a broad range of encryption coverage in the industry with support for Windows-based laptops and desktops, Linux-based systems, removable storage media such as USB sticks and CDs, and popular wireless handhelds on the Microsoft, Symbian and Palm operating systems. 

Fimat, one of the world's leading global brokerage organizations and a 
part of Societe Generale Securities Services, has opened Fimat 
International Banque SA (Hong Kong Branch), which will operate with a 
full banking license. Fimat's new banking status in Hong Kong will help 
leverage its operations in the region. Benefiting directly from the newly acquired financial strength, the bank will offer clients new services, such as increased financing capabilities and prime brokerage services, as well as more complex products following regulatory approvals.
