Hong Kong Update Summer/Fall 2010

The Legislative Council (LegCo), Hong Kong’s parliament,
approved in June this year the 2012 constitutional reform package
with a two-thirds majority. Hailed as a historic milestone in Hong
Kong’s democratic development since its return to China as a
Special Administrative Region in 1997, LegCo managed to go through
the procedures stipulated in the Basic Law to introduce the new
election methods.

(HKEx), it was not at all surprising that a standing-room only
crowd at the Prospectus and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC
2010) Convention in Toronto was eager to hear from visiting
