A: As a Canadian national, you may stay in Hong Kong for up to 90 days without an entry visa.
However, if you plan to travel to Mainland China from Hong Kong, you will need a China entry visa. These are obtainable from the Visa Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, 7/F Lower Block, China Resources Building, 26 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong (Tel: 852-2827-1881) or through the Embassy / Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary.

A: If you are eligible for the HKSAR passport and wish to apply for one, you can obtain application forms from the nearest Chinese embassy / consulate general or the HKSAR Immigration Department.
- Apply through Chinese embassy /
consulate-general:
You may submit your application by post or in person to the nearest Chinese embassy / consulate-general. Your application will be forwarded to the HKSAR Immigration Department for processing. The passport will be sent back to the Chinese embassy / consulate-general for issue. You are required to collect your passport in person and produce the originals of the supporting documents enclosed for verification.

Department:
If you submit your application direct to the HKSAR Immigration Department by post, you are required to collect your passport in person at the HKSAR Immigration Department with the originals of the supporting documents enclosed with your application for verification.

You can submit your application online (except for replacement of lost or damaged passport or amendment of personal particulars in passport) if you are:
- Eligible for an HKSAR Passport
- Aged 18 or above; and
- Able to collect your new passport in person at the Travel Document (Issue) Office, 4/F, Immigration Tower, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
