Forbes will hold a series of major business events in Hong Kong in late 2003 and early 2004. The three main events in the pipeline are the “Best Under a Billion" Forbes Global 200 Best Small Companies, Forbes US 2003 CEO Forum and Forbes Global CEO Conference. All these signify the organizers? complete confidence in Hong Kong following the SARS outbreak.

A series of activities will be launched in the coming months to boost Hong Kong's business and tourism.“Best Under a Billion" is scheduled for November and will attract over 100 CEO or senior business representatives from all over the world, while the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is sponsoring the CEO Forum, which will be held in Richmond, Virginia this autumn. The CEO Conference will be held in Hong Kong in the spring of 2004.

As well, Hong Kong will co-operate with Forbes to organize a series of business receptions and activities.

These business occasions combine with the mega sports and entertainment activities designed to restore Hong Kong’s reputation and revive the economy following the SARS outbreak.

For instance, Liverpool will participate in an exhibition soccer match in Hong Kong this summer, while the Chinese National Basketball Team, including star Yao Ming, will play in Hong Kong sometime this year.

The roster of entertainment and cultural events for the year includes the June Seafood Festival in Sai Kung, a Gifts & Premium Fair in July, a Strato-Fantasia laser and musical show in August and the East meets West Soho carnival in September.
