A series of the best works by acclaimed film director John Woo will be showcased in a Hong Kong Film Festival, held June 27 to July 6 in Toronto.

A joint presentation of the HKETO and the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC), and with the support of the Royal Ontario Museum, “Gems from Asia’s Hollywood - A Retrospect of John Woo" aims to illustrate the development of Hong Kong’s film industry. The showing of 7 Woo masterpieces will enable Canadian viewers to appreciate the unique qualities of Hong Kong films and to recognize the achievements of its film industry professionals.

The film festival also marks the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
