Canadians Explore China's ICT Potential

Canadian business people who are interested to establish contacts with potential business partners in China on the ICT market are given an opportunity to learn about the potentials of the China market at the ICT seminar. Canadian business people interested in the potential of China’s telecom sector learned that they will have an ideal opportunity to explore the market when ITU Telecom World 2006 opens in Hong Kong this December.

Addressing a seminar entitled "Capitalizing Upon the Development Opportunities" held recently in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, the Deputy Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology (Communications and Technology) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mrs Marion Lai, highlighted the latest development and opportunities in China's telecom sector.

"Our main objective in organising the Business Facilitation Programme for event participants is to foster understanding of the Mainland market, assist event participants in establishing contacts with potential business partners in China and preparing for more fruitful participation of the event in December," Mrs Lai said.

ITU Telecom World brings together the world’s leading telecom players from the public and private sectors. This is the first time this renowned event, referred to as the “Olympics” of the industry, is being held outside Geneva, Switzerland.
